Scope and Contents: Marion Johnson used the photographs she did to illustrate her own publications. The subjects of the collection are mainly Italian architecture, villas and gardens, cityscapes and landscapes. Part of the collection of remarkable anthropological interest are the images of costumes, local processions and religious rites (e.g. the areas of Abruzzo and Puglia). Referring specifically to Rome, Georgina Masson's images capture both a vision of classical, medieval and Renaissance architecture and the modern city.
